A: A lot of students felt the same way. Well, how did you find the Math section? I had a lot of trouble with it. B: Not me. Math is my strongest subject. It was a breeze. (It was a snap) A: 만세! 수능시험이 끝났다. B: 어깨의 무거운 짐을 다 내려놓은 기분야. A: 이 번 시험 어떻게 생각하니? B: 응, 영어듣기 시간에 집중할 수가 없었어. A: 스피커에서 나오는 음악 때문이란 말야? B: 그래. 아주 방해가 됐어. A: 많은 학생들이 같이 느꼈을 거야. 그런데 수학시험은 어땠니? 난 아주 어려웠어. A: 난 안 그랬는데. 수학은 내가 가장 잘하는 거잖아. 그건 쉬웠어.
'It was a breeze' 는 '그건 쉬운 일이었다' 라는 의미로 사용하였으며, 같은 뜻으로 'It was a snap' 혹은 'It was an easy thing' 이 있다. 'a piece of cake'는 '누어서 떡 먹기' 처럼 아주 쉬운 일을 표현할 때 쓴다. 참고로 'in a snap' 은 '곧, 즉시' 라는 뜻이다.
